Mcdonald’s had its own humble beginnings, during the late 1930s, brothers Maurice and Richard Mcdonald started of working as handy mans (helpers) for Motion Picture Studios, Their father on the other hand has his own food stand where he sold hotdogs at first and later on started selling burgers at 10¢, later on that time they opened a restaurant and named it Mcdonald's Bar-B-Que, a few years later in 1947 the Mcdonald brothers realized that most of their income come from selling burgers, so they closed down their Car drive restaurant and Established their own streamline system with a simple menu that consists of, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Potato Chips, Coffee, Drinks and Pies, which later on, both the Potato Chips and Pies are swapped out for Fries and Milk. The restaurant’s success led the brothers to begin franchising their concept—nine becoming operating restaurants. At the San Bernardino location, Dick and Mac McDonald perfected their Speedee Service System featuring a limited menu including fifteen cent hamburgers, shakes and fries. The brothers sold 14 franchises of which 10 became operating restaurants not including their original location in San Bernardino.
